About OpenGTM
Understand OpenGTM's purpose and the independence boundary behind the publication.
Conventional access
The Independence Note below records the project's purpose and affiliation boundary.
Independence Note
OpenGTM is an independent project inspired by late-1990s and early-2000s desktop interfaces.
OpenGTM is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Microsoft. Its interface assets and behaviours are original OpenGTM work.
Assistant privacy
The optional OpenGTM Assistant is separate from local Search. If it is enabled, LinkedIn creates a pseudonymous account used only for the Assistant—not for Pinball score claims, subscriptions, or a general OpenGTM profile.
A question and retrieved published OpenGTM content are forwarded to DeepSeek to produce a cited answer. OpenGTM does not retain conversations. DeepSeek controls its own provider-side retention, which may change independently of OpenGTM.
OpenGTM retains the purpose-specific pseudonymous account, rolling five-conversation allowance, and non-linkable aggregate monthly spend reservation only as needed for operation and spend control. Log out ends the browser session. Unlink erases the Assistant account and allowance; aggregate calendar-month spend remains without an account link so the hard site-wide cap still works.
